Donating your coins and notes to charity
A great way to make use of your leftover foreign coins and notes is to donate them to charity. At Euro Coin Exchange, instead of offering you a limited selection of charities, we let YOU choose which charity you’d like to support. Simply enter the name and address of your favorite charity on your Packing List and we will convert your coins and notes into dollars at our published rates plus an extra 5%. We will mail a check payable to your chosen charity either directly to them or to you, whichever you prefer.
There are literally thousands of charities to choose from. If you need some ideas, take a look at the FirstGiving website (JustGiving in the UK).
If a friend, colleague or your favorite organization is raising money for charity via the FirstGiving or JustGiving website, you can donate your leftover or unwanted foreign coins and notes directly to their fundraising cause. Simply enter the name of your beneficiary’s FirstGiving or JustGiving account (example: www.firstgiving.com/john-smith) on your packing list and we will convert your euros into pounds at our published rates, plus an extra 5%, and transfer the proceeds directly to your nominated account, referencing your name. We will send you a confirmation of your donation, and you will be able to confirm your donation through the FirstGiving or JustGiving website.
If you still can’t decide, consider donating your foreign currency to an agency which provides global humanitarian aid, specific disaster relief efforts, support for the arts or services for cancer survivors. Information about some of our favorites can be found here.
If you would like to make a charitable donation, please complete a Packing List and mail your coins and notes to Euro Coin Exchange.
