Finnish markkaa banknotes: Too late, but . . . .

If you are still holding any old Finnish banknotes, the time to exchange them is RIGHT NOW!

We no longer buy Finnish markka paper money. All Finnish markka currency is still redeemable at the offices of Suomen Pankki, the Bank of Finland, but only until February 29, 2012. After that date it becomes worthless.

In order to redeem your old markkaa, you must send them to the Suomen Pankki. Redemption instructions (in English) can be found here.

See below for pictures of Finnish banknotes. Please observe that older Finnish currency was revalued in 1963, so the actual value of notes issued prior to 1963 is 1/100 of face value.
